I pushed my son on through the Salt Lake City airport. The last week flew by and now it was time to get back to everyday life. When we boarded the plane, I got my son seated. Of course, he started kicking the seat in front of him so I looked for a distraction.

I grabbed my water bottle to pour him a drink but it was empty, but somehow I had forgotten to fill it with water before we boarded. He looked at his sippy cup expectantly, and I felt a tinge of guilt for not being a more prepared mom.

Now I see the great lesson…

Unless I fill my own cup first there is not enough to share.

Have you left your cup empty lately? Do you feel like you don't have enough to pour out to your kids, husband, friends, or neighbors?

How do you fill your cup?

It needs to come at the start of your day. Instead of rushing to start breakfast or tidy the kitchen, get ready for the day. That could mean doing your skincare and putting on some fresh clothes.

Why should you fill your cup first? Because you are worth it!

When you pour from a full cup, you are able to live with more patience, love, and happiness.

One way to implement a morning routine is by having a good skincare routine. It only takes a few minutes, but it is a practice that is not only relaxing but also takes care of your skin.
